“One day during my junior year, my father mentioned a woman he knew who was a speech pathologist. It piqued my curiosity and I asked him to describe her job. He told me that she worked one on one with students who had a hard time with speech and helped them improve their communication skills. At that moment, I knew I had found my future career. Someday, I hope to open my own speech language therapy clinic. Helping others improve their language skills and seeing the results of my help sounds like an incredibly fulfilling career.”
