“I was nine years old when I met, perhaps, the most influential person in my life. I came across her in the streets of Mexico while my mother and I were on our way to the food market... My encounter with a stranger, whom I now believe suffered from a mental disorder, impacted my life greatly... This experience sparked my love for psycholgy and made me realize how cruel this world could be for those who are helplessly entrapped by their own minds... As I have strived to educate myself on the study of psychology, I was able to discover my second passion, nursing... My dream is to become a mental health nurse.”
