“I put the camera to my eye and suddenly the world is shrunken into the viewfinder. For one minute this massive earth is all mine, I’m in control. This is my world, no larger than an inch and two dimensional at best. This is the way I see, this is the 18% gray in which I look upon... so this is what drives me: the adrenaline as my prints develop and the rush as I set my aperture. Photography has helped me through difficult times in my life and has taught me to see in a whole new way. I am now my own person and my destiny lies within the shutter, my fate in the lens.”
